The company started as a small venture in 1989 in Tel Aviv, Israel by co-founders Yaron Cohen and Avi Gorfinkiel. Icron’s first product was an automatic switching device that allowed computers to automatically switch between two computers connected via parallel ports. This device led to the development of a range of products that enabled personal computers on the network to share printers and scanners as well as access shared files across multiple computers. In 1997 Icron became part of Analog Devices Inc., an industry leader in high-performance analog semiconductor solutions that enable more than one billion products from consumer electronics to automotive market segments.
