The Verkada QM11-W Wireless Wall Motion Sensor is a battery-powered motion sensor designed for Verkada New Alarms deployments. Built for offices, schools, retail spaces, healthcare facilities, warehouses, corridors, shared work areas, and other commercial interiors, the QM11-W helps detect motion activity without requiring new sensor wiring at every location.

Unlike basic PIR-only motion sensors, the QM11-W uses dual-technology detection with both a passive infrared sensor and active microwave radar. This helps improve detection reliability and reduce false alarm triggers caused by environmental changes, such as HVAC drafts or temperature shifts, where heat changes may occur without actual human movement. Verkada describes the QM11 as using PIR and active radar to reduce false triggers and extend detection coverage compared with its predecessor.
