Saying Goodbye to InfoComm 2018 and Looking Ahead to Zoomtopia
After experiencing InfoComm 2018, I was struck by just how much the Video Conferencing market has exploded over the past few years. When we started VideoConferencingGear.com, we knew the future of business communications would be face to face, and the best way to do that would be online video.
And the numbers from InfoComm support that. This year, there were nearly 43,000 attendees, up 10% from 2015, with 20% of those being from outside the United States. With almost a thousand exhibitors and 550,000 square feet of exhibit space, InfoComm is the premier tradeshow for all things Audio Visual.
Beyond the massive numbers it represents, InfoComm is important because it allows someone to "see and touch" products, learn about innovation and hear from industry leaders. In fact this year, there were more 20% more people taking advantage of the seminars and workshops. It's no wonder InfoComm was recently named one of the fastest growing tradeshows by Trade Show Executive.
If you've never experienced InfoComm, next year it will be held in Orlando, June 8 through 14.
Looking ahead, we have Zoomtopia ...
And while we're talking tradeshows, and in this case it's a user conference, why not plan on attending Zoomtopia 2018? They have doubled the number of breakout sessions from last year, which include both training and development workshops.
In 2018, Zoomtopia will be exploring topics including Meetings and Zoom Rooms administrator workshops, industry-based breakouts for such verticals as healthcare and education, function-specific sessions (for account administrators, webinar hosts, and so forth), embedding Zoom into your workflows, and API integrations.
Add the educational opportunities to the hands-on experiences available with show exhibitors, and you have a winning combination.
We'll be there and we highly suggest you attend. It's a great way to learn and experience what's going on with all things Zoom. This year, Zoomtopia will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center on October 10-11.
